THE SCHOOL OF SYMBOLOGY

Symbology is a subject of deep interest to many however there are few opportunities to study it  directly. The School of Symbology exists to allow those interested in this area to look directly at the symbols around us that hide so much meaning and are central to so much of the literature, iconography and spirituality in modern culture.

The study of symbology allows the student to recognise the meaning of symbols in art, statues, literature, buildings and rituals. Without a detailed understanding of symbology the meaning of these cannot be understood and the benefits that understanding them provides is lost.

The School of Symbology runs two courses aimed at not only providing that knowledge but also to allow students to understand the meaning of specific icons and practices that are of interest to them. It allows the student to see that which cannot normally be seen. This knowledge is invaluable in many spheres of modern life.
